Monroe's Nursery
Designing Monroe’s nursery was such a dream come true. A few days after we found out we were having a baby girl, I spent hours on Pinterest and Canva putting together inspiration for her space.
The first version was inspired by this image I found on Pinterest. I loved the subtle use of blue, the timeless elegance, and mix of textures. After hours of Googling, I discovered it would be difficult to source the wallpaper, etc. in my budget, so I moved on to the design we ended up with.
I then had this epiphany… what if her nursery was a clean, neutral space with different textures? This would allow us to integrate the investment pieces in her room (her glider, dresser, etc.) in the rest of our house when she decides what room she wants to live in someday. I could see the glider we chose becoming a chair in our guest room someday. Or her rug. Her dresser. Almost everything in her room can be repurposed and that brings me so much joy that we’ll always have memories of her first room in our home. And so, the decision was made, the vision board was created, and it was off to shop!
